They have a lot more freedom to determine what they will do from day to day, including political activities like criticizing those with power, or protesting. In the past most Iraqis didn't get to determine much of anything, it was Saddam determining everything.


Tim, about what are you talking? Their country is falling apart. This is no time for demonstrations......its a time for digging in and getting things done. For people to divvy up sections of the water and oil pipelines and protect them until the terrorists understand they can't get to them. This is a time for people to set up patrols and go thru their neighborhoods to protect their neighbors........God knows, they have enough guns. There are many pro active, very basic things the Iraqis could be doing that they are not doing. There is no excuse........they are second to the Iranians in educational levels in the ME. If they love their country, then they need to put out 100%. They are not.....no where close. They want us to do it for them.
