You may have me on the "apologizing" one. I'm old enough to know that crow, while not particularly tasty, is best eaten in a big gulp while holding your breath, and when you do so, it's far better than having a bit of pride lodged in your throat for months to come. When I first started this job, I thought it was important to always be right, even if I was wrong. Didn't take long to learn that when I was wrong, I'd best point it out quickly. And be the first one to do so when possible.

I'm not saying that Matt's wrong. He's fessed up to being wrong before, at least to me, and though it takes him longer, he does do it.

He became vulgar and abusive and stopped communicating with me.

My understanding is that you stopped communicating with him.

"Vulgar and abusive" is definitely open to interpretation. When communicating with someone privately, and sometimes publicly, I'm the same way either when I feel it's deserved, I need to show just how "pissed off" I really am about something, or when I simply need to talk to someone in their own language. Whenever I need to PM Lucretius, Mythman, or A@P, for example, I use blunt, vulgar language to make sure they get my point. If something's bullshit, I don't hesitate to call it such.

And in my dealings with Matt, I'm convinced I'm orders of magnitude more vulgar than he could even conceive of being.

I'm willing to give Matt the benefit of the doubt here at this point in time and would also point out that I didn't claim he deleted my post because it was negative. In fact, it wasn't negative it all. It was simply an explanation why the price dropped suddenly Monday morning.

Though my opinion is irrelevant, I'm inclined to agree about your assessment of that post. There are likely other issues I'm unaware of and don't care to get involved in. My plate runneth over. If I may mix metaphors. Maybe that'll get noticed unlike what I thought was my terribly clever "sites like this are merely a stage, and not responsible for the act of the players", paraphrasing an old (Shakespeare) line and putting "merely" with "stage" instead of "players".

I slay me. <g>
