Debt is certainly deflationary I agree. But monetary inflation like we are having now and have seen over the past 10 years, and will see in the coming years can only lead in one direction. We had asset inflation in the stock market, the housing market... now stuff of all kinds will inflate as the great US of A and its consumers become inundated with US dollars.

Better to wipe out the debt that way.
