Something's wrong here. I agree with you! :-) At the very minimum, they should stop and talk more until clarity can be achieved. People will be hurt either way Yeah, but not very much hurt in the "no" side.

You do not think that "sexual assault" is a bright enough line? I agree that there should be no penetration without consent, and that ambiguity should be avoided as much as humanly possible. But I do not think that justice is served by taking an overly broad view of rape, lumping together such disparate things as holding a knife to a stranger's throat and behaving aggressively after your date has been passionately encouraging, but ambiguously balks at consummation......
