I would welcome a reasoned discussion of the root causes of 9-11, as we each see them.

After you... So long as you don't disminish the intent by Al-Qaeda to murder 50,000 civilians, or tell us that we're "over-reacting", I'm willing to entertain a rational discussion... (which is what I inferred from your question asking me why 9/11 occurred).

Because, if anything, I believe we're under-reacting relative to previous provocations in our past history, where full military and economic mobilization occurred...

However, I believe we're taking a concrete, but more subtle, approach to dealing with the real enemy, Wahhabist militancy and Saudi complicity/complacency in harboring and abetting them.
