Considering that 100s of billion$ are going to change hands in the process, I think that until shrub makes concessions that allow other countries a "piece of the action" (codified in a UN resolution or not) his hand is weak and everyone knows it.
He dealt himself a weak hand off the bottom of the deck...how stupid is that?

Why in heavens name would the Germans and French agree to help in the current situation? The US spit in their eye, along with the rest of the UN, and decided to go it alone. Now that we are crawling back for help, do we really think that we won't have to make significant concessions?

Significant help from other countries, without significant concessions by Bush, will open the door to a neocon policy of 'Invade First - Ask for Help Later'. As many have said all along, we needed to get the UN in with us from the start, rather than having to beg for them later.
