I should have added one more item to my last post. While the NASDAQ has been "flying" the past 3 days, the SOX has been struggling. This week so far it is a negative 0.51 points. In accordance with your observation on NSM and AMD, when the SOX is struggling, the NASDAQ many times has a hard time continuing its winning ways.

RE: "They actually did well...a turn for the worse is on the horizon."

If things (economic) were real good, then it would be prudent to look for signs of a "turn." Things are not real good and haven't been so for about 3 years. I think that NSM results represent internal restructuring and an improving business climate. The excessive liquidity provide by the Fed and the war mongering deficits provided by the Pres are the only options currently available to them, but they are what the patient needs, for the time being. Hopefully, the economy will be able to be taken off "life support", the Fed will be able to return to moderate money growth, and some miracle happens to get us out of the Iraqi quagmire. Meanwhile, I am looking for a continuing turn for the better through the next Pres election.
