What do you think Bin Laden will think about the US running to the UN for help?

I disagree with Warren when he says, "He is instead, by our standards, almost morbidly afraid of failure. He wishes all observers to believe he is invincible, and will avoid doing what might show he is not. Directly attacked himself, he melts away."

It makes more sense to me that "he" avoids direct confrontations because he knows that he will fail if he fights on those terms, but believes that he will win through perseverence, superior dedication, willingness to sacrifice, righteousness of cause. Driving out the infidels is a righteous cause. The country is theirs (as Arabs); the foreigners will leave if they are clever and persistent enough. The Russians have their Chechnya; will Iraq become like Chechnya for the US? The Russians can stay in Chechnya a lot longer than we will stay in Iraq if losses continue to mount. I would guess Al Qaeda will be willing to remain fighting in Iraq for as long as they have even just a few thousand sympathizers.
