I agree. It almost seemed scripted. Bush nodded as if he was being told something that he already knew was going to happen and just confirming it in his mind. Then, his speech to the country that morning (which for some reason was given in front of dozens of schoolchildren while the nation was under an unprecedent terrorist attack from the air, as if all of their safety wasn't in jeporady) seemed too scipted also. There was no shock in his voice, no passion, no bewilderment at the unprecedented events that were unfolding that day. He just gave a briefly cold and methodical (scripted?) speech summarizing what just happened and asked for a moment of silence. I don't know, perhaps Bush is even more wooden than Al Gore, but he certainly didn't show much emotion or natural human outrage on such a horrific day for our country.

I really think 9/11 might have been prevented if Gore and his team had won in 2000. Perhaps their agenda wouldn't have been so tilted towards international oil interests. The evidence is certainly pointing to the fact that the current administration ignored warnings, both interal and external, that such an attack was in the planning stages. Just think, about 4,000 Americans might still be alive today and the nation might have avoided a national tradgedy if Al Gore had won in Florida in 2000 by a mear 600 votes. This Bush presidency has been the worst thing to happen to my country in my lifetime. They are only concerned with one thing, furthering the interests of the super-rich over everyone else. It shows every day. And the moronic American people will probably vote Bush back in office in 2004. People are such suckers. Go figure? :-(
