[The only thing that confuses me here is... What happened to all the shutdowns that normally occur at the bottom of the semi cycle? Normally, after a wafer size upgrade [in this most recent case 300mm] there should have been tons of excess capacity as all the 200mm equipment gets sold off for cheap. Half or more of the remaining contenders then get wiped out. Apart from some small amounts of cutting back, the capacity has increased manyfold, and we already had lots. Note article says "leading edge factory utilization"..pb]
