What are you going to apply pressure with?

Mobilize SI and send us over to man the Iraq/Iran border?

Nuke em?

Iran may be ahead of North Korea as far as we know.

My friend, our pressure forces are tied down in Iraq keeping it free from terrorism to the tune of $87 billion a year doing what Saddam was doing pretty nicely, thank you, for free.

And pumping oil too, keeping prices low so all the Bush tax cut winners had plenty of cheap fuel to run their SUV's and power boats.

It ain't as much fun being rich if you can't enjoy spending it.

Hawk, sorry, I have used BigFoot all along as my name name for the great, dreaded, but extremely elusive, despite searching high and low, Weapons of Mass Destruction. I didn't mean Saddam.

BigFoot, aka Yeti, Loch Ness monster - other names I've used for other WMDs; mythical, much-feared, monsters.

Personally, I think all this is largely about King George II going to show Saddam what happens when you try to kill Dad and Laura. [If those rumours are true]. Saddam was also [allegedly] approved of the destruction of the Twin Towers - not surprisingly since he has been sanctioned and bombed for so many years.

A bit like Japan attacked Pearl Harbour and the USA attacked Hiroshima and Nagasaki and mass bombed Tokyo. Tit for tat and all that. Japan tried expanding to create a great big empire. Same as Saddam. The USA decided to roll them back. Sanctions, wars, reprisals ... plus ca change.... Instead, we are getting a great big USA empire, which is okay by me [I'll take the best thing going in the absence of a NUN]

<How long did the rumours persist that Hitler was still alive,>

Unlike Elvis, who is hiding out in Eketahuna, enjoying some quiet life, I think Saddam will be found and confirmed alive or dead. He's in the equivalent of Hitler's bunker, waiting for the unhindered troops to find him. Like Hitler, I doubt he'll be spending time alongside Milosevic being pycho-tortured eternally by lawyers in a joke of a trial.
