Stainless exhaust systems would save 5000 lives a year. Most of the mysterious Sunday head-ons are caused by monoxide unalertness. A silent unseen killer as few coroners will check for Co levels in the blood immediately after an accident.

After 7 years most cars leak what exhaust gases leak the muffler, directly into the nacelle at low levels from;;; rust pinholes in the floor. If you go over the age of the cars that have perfect condition accidents you will see that they are older, or have rusted exhaust systems.

I ran into it myself and I will tell you that you cannot detect that your tiredness is caused by CO poisoning. The classic symptoms are not effectively felt. It is just a plain brain drowsiness that pulls on you. After about 1 hour's running you feel tired, and have to do things to keep yourself awake. But you don't realize the source. If you stopped to think about it, it should be obvious. The correlation of short driving times and tiredness should hit you, but it doesn't often.

A good solution would be to put a fan in the dead areas beneath the car to encourage clean out of gases. Leaks in the engine area are harmlessa as they are spun out by the fan, and the firewall rarely leaks gas.

All vehicles should be equipped with CO detectors. It is an idea whose time has come. I put one in my truck. What I found was amazing. Never leave a standing running car or truck with the windows or doors open. Another great source of CO is garages. They all have dangerous CO near the roof of the garage from leaks in evac systems. CO is same weight as air, but hot CO will rise in a building usually.

Hey, just wanted to thank you for the tip that ABZ usually sells off when POG is hot. I reduced my bid on ABZ today by quite a bit and still got my shares. Thanks!
