There are several fallacies here:

Fallacy #1) "The tax cut was paid by borrowing money".

Truth: Money was borrowed because spending exceeding
income. Spending could have been cut to avoid
additional borrowing, but the government chose
not to do so.

Fallacy #2) "I will eventually need to pay that money back".

Truth: "I" am not the "federal government".
"I" did not borrow anything.

Turn the question around.

Do you think that you are personally WORSE OFF
for having received the Bush tax cut?

If so, then why don't you send the money back
to the U.S. Treasury? I'm sure they would love
to have it!

Being a Republican means being self-indulgent and only concerned that the tax cut benefits ME, right now. They are not the least bit concerned that future generations will have to pay for that self-indulgence. Nor do they want to pay for the Iraqi invasion, nor volunteer for duty there, they want somebody else to give their lives and pay for the oil that they are lusting after, to continue the self-indulgence in their Humvees with the huge flag in the rear window.
