The question is how you avoid doing so, how you screen out those viewing you as a potential sex partner. My position is that you assume that your clients are there for therapy, not sex, until their behavior tells you otherwise. Then you deal with the "otherwises." You wouldn't screen out homosexuals at the door. Even if you wanted to do that, I don't know how you could. You could hardly ask your clients to sign an affidavit upon entering that they're straight. That wouldn't be very good for business and it would be terribly rude, at best. So the only thing to do is to treat them until such time as they signal you that they are expecting something else.
