no that is not what I said, what I said was that Cisco's US based payroll has come down. Applied Materials just hired 200 people in india. Kindof masks the severe layoffs here. It is very difficult to get information about which companies are cutting staff here and hiring in india. The big companies try to hide it, because it is bad for PR. All I know about Cisco is I was there in 99 and every building was full, the healthclub had a tent on the outside with so many people. The place was an exploding beehive, there was no parking. Now half the bldgs are empty, plenty of parking. What happened. We have lost 3 million jobs in 3 years in this country, 100K last month alone. Where did they come from? Smokestack industries were decimated years ago. 3 million jobs is A TON. There's no sense being in denial about this.
