Roastita..

have you and Harold ever gone over to eastern Washington this time of the year? The proliferation of produce around Yakima is amazing, with peppers galore. I used to go over with friends and load up. We would then have a big roasting party, it is so great to have a big batch of roasted peppers in the freezer..

yum.

But you probably can't take them back across the border can you?

Very heavy drenching drizzle today in Seattle, just what the plants needed. How be you today?

i understand it's pepper roasting time
in new mexico ...

yes. the smell of roasting chiles is heaven. better
than the smell of a first, light rain in the mountains.

i caught some wacko chile addicts in the boat launch
ramp area at elephant butte trying to roast some with
a high voltage power line this weekend:

i went down to help greg bring back a boat he bought
to fix up and sell (a Cal 25):

the perfect fall afternoon = a tailgate party in the
grass at university stadium, passing around iced down
cervezas to your friends through the smoke while grilling
burgers and roasting green chiles, watching the kids throw
footballs and chase each other through the freshly falling
orange and red autumn maple leaves as the marching band
and drill teams snare drum and twirl their way into the
annual lobo-aggie football game.

aaahhhh. home town saturday night.
coming to albuquerque september 27.
