Remember, they have not been tested yet. 2) Under what circumstances would North Korea use their nuclear weapons? Re 1) I expect that North Korea will test a weapon as soon as possible. It makes their threat credible. I wouldn't be surprised if North Korea invited the US to watch the test. I think that the public might be told of such an invitation by North Korea. It would be a slap in the face to the US so if Intelligence says that a test is about to happen the US would be faced with a dilemma, announce it first or wait and see if it happens or preempt NK by attacking. Some very hard choices. Re 2) If North Korea is attacked it will use it's WMDs. North Korea saw what happened to Iraq. Iraq was disarmed and got attacked.

He has put the U.S. in this predicament, and now, has the gall to ask the very countries he alienated to make financial, political, and human sacrifices to resolve it. Translation: "Support sending foreign soldiers to Iraq to share in the uncontrollable bloodshed, so that some of the heat will be taken off of me at home!"
