Sidney, God's indirect will is that he allows evil to bring about eventual good. You have to admit that bad things happen to Christians throughout history. But God tells us to wear the world like a loose fitting cloak because we are not of this world. We are only passing through. Our bodies are only a shell. The real person is the spirit within us that is eternal. We have lost our focus on what is truly important. The growth of our spirits. Our life is only a short second when compared with eternity.
