To the best of my knowledge, Carbon dioxide does not "hurt our lungs and cause disease in humans". Further, Carbon Dioxide isn't the most important greenhouse gas in the Earth's atmosphere - water vapor is.

That's why I said "carbon emissions" as in carbon monoxide and not carbon dioxide. Carbon monoxide can be fatal, and over time, can do serious damage to our lungs and aggravate such respiratory diseases as asthma.

BTW, for the first two years of the Bush Administration, greenhouse gas emissions have decreased from peak levels seen in 2000.

Yes, that's because the US and most of the world have been in recession since 2000, causing factory production and corresponding emissions to decline during that time. I don't think that's something the Bush administration should be proud of.....do you?

Something to ponder: space.com;

I don't dispute that there may be other reasons for global warming..........but that's not the only issue hear. Pollutant emissions may not be the cause of global warming but they ARE the cause of bad air. You haven't lived until you experienced a smoggy day in Los Angeles or Houston or DC.
