The United States was in a recession the first 3 quarters of 2001, but experienced positive GDP growth for the year. It should also be noted, that greenhouse emissions increased in Euroland for the same period.

Anyway, if the Democrats were so keen on greenhouse emissions, they wouldn't be giving drivers licenses to illegal aliens in CA - taking a couple million illegals in CA, off of public transportation, and onto single occupancy vehicles...Oops, that's kind of stretching it :0)
