FWIW, I was very against moderated threads. Especially stock-specific ones. My concerns have been proven wrong. Moderation can be used for manipulation, but I haven't seen it happen. iHub's version, post deletion, can also be used for manipulation and it does happen, but far less than it used to, and to my limited knowledge, hasn't been effective because Matt's conscientious about ensuring that inappropriately-deleted posts get restored and moderators who persist in such deletions get removed. All possible approaches have their pros and cons and no one solution will be perfect, but I think that a hybrid of both approaches along with some other changes could result in a pretty optimum solution.
