On the bright side, at least I have ADSL for 60 bucks a month with unlimited access. :)

I am paying $50 for Roadrunner through the good old "Time Warner" Cable co. total cable bill runs about 100 with HBO. Service is excellent.

Why am I not surprised at your tale of woe about utilities? Common throughout Europe. When I read the phony articles put out by Social Scientists here and abroad about "quality of life" comparisons, I know they never include these type of stats.

I use well water which is also very high in iron. I also have an iron filter that does a fine job of reducing the iron. I back flush the media bed every 10 days for about 10 minutes and it looks like orange coffee coming out of the hose along with some black sand that is really iron.
