Pretty funny stuff: Last week, U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, made a comparison to Vietnam. That prompted a blunt response from Powell: "We ought to stop with these rather bizarre historical allusions back to something that happened 25, 30 years ago," Powell said on CNN's "Late Edition." The allusions to Vietnam are less bizarre, far more appropriate and outright truthfull that the Bush admin and its friends have been making to the aftermath of WWII, "something that happened" 50-60 years ago.
