Not a lot of oil in Bosnia or Kosovo. Or Afghanistan. Or Haiti. Or Panama.

So your impression is wrong. But even if your impression were correct, what's so bad about protecting our economic interest in the free flow of oil?

Theres some truth to that, though there wasn't much oil in Somalia or Liberia. But then, the right-wing intellectuals did less posing as champions of the oppressed, on the whole.
