Jacob, I didn't say that - I quoted the vaunted Geneva convention that you have apparently never read. While arguments can be made in both directions I doubt it is as clear as you think. While making the point that military misdeeds, such as the Bagram incident currently under investigation should result in summary execution (your Mao example), you seem to take a remarkably conciliatory attitude with regards to enemies. Our men should be shot on site, theirs should get Miranda rights? John
