<Would you release several hundred serial killers into the general populace?> Soldiers in any army are serial killers. They kill. Serially. That's what they are trained to do, and we give them medals if they do it well. After WW2, over 10 million American serial killers were demobilized, went home and became farmers, insurance salesmen, schoolteachers, daddies and husbands. I expect that's about what the Taliban foot-soldiers in Guantanamo would do, if we let them go. Keep the leaders and Al Queda, let the rest go. The Taliban foot-soldiers are just common average people who were fighting for their country.
