What's your point, Jacob? That every soldier is a Mohammed Atta?

And just what army do these detainees belong to? Most of the Taliban soldiers from Afghanistan/Pakistan have been released. There are detainees from 43 different countries there, including Russians, muslim Chinese, etc.. They are not mere taliban conscripts.

Who gives them their orders? And when their nation has been defeated, do they also acknowledge that defeat, or vow to carry on the war?

Show me what army these detainees belonged to, show me a commander they will obey with regard to surrender and not conducting further acts of war, make them swear to a Muslim cleric on the Koran that they will no longer wage Jihad, and I might be more inclined to let some of the less hardcore members go home.

And now to the REALLY OFFENSIVE part of your post:

Soldiers in any army are serial killers. They kill. Serially. That's what they are trained to do, and we give them medals if they do it well.

Calling a soldier a "serial killer", a term normally reserved for human predators who seek to slay innocent and defenseless civilians (usually women and children), is just a bit on the verge of incitement, don't you think?

A soldier is trained to hunt and kill specific personnel, enemy soldiers. He is not trained to kill, nor generally finds any "honor or glory" in killing, defenseless civilians.

I certainly don't believe that our soldiers who have fought and currently serve in Iraq are "serial killers". (Anyone else here who believes that, please speak up)

Don't you think it might be wise to revise your statement before you find yourself inciting hatred from anyone who has ever served and seen combat?

I dare you to go up to some combat vet of Iraq and call him a "serial killer".
