Those came from the PA's archrival, Hamas, and other radical Islamists. Incidentally, Hamas was nurtured by Israel to counterweigh Arafat's secular PA and its "peace offensive" (recognition of Israel, acceptance of UN 242, etc.) Tom

Let's see if you can distinguish these two: (1) Palestinians fighting to resist Israel's bloody policies of expansion (2) Leaders (good, bad, or horribly incompetent) who have signed Oslo etc etc I guess you can agree that the former ARE "freedom fighters". What's a freedom fighter that passes on the chance for freedom as the PA did in 2000. See above distinction. I think the PA has another agenda, and its not peace And I think you are just guessing, and that it is not relevant in any case to whether or not the fight of the Palestinians is one that is justifiable, whether or not they are freedom fighters. It is and they are. You just have to put aside the Jewish bias and deal with it. I've seen pictures of Arafat with a patch on one of his sleeves that depicts a Palestine without Israel. And I have seen maps of a Kurdistan, that comprises pretty much all of East-Southeastern Turkey. Does that mean the Turkish army would be justified in shooting bullets hither and yon into Kurdish kids and blow up what little remains of their physical possessions with tanks and bombs dropped from planes?
