The greatest danger is from Washington DC, where the Bush cabal has extensive plans already in place for everything from sneak and peek to mass arrests, secret tribunals of individuals selected at the sole and exclusive discretion of the president, who can be tried, convicted and executed in complete secrecy. They can be "disappeared".

Next will be a series of anti-2nd Amendment rules coming out of Washington, not the states, incrementally. The first has already come, the creation of a nationwide database fully inclusive of gun ownership. Ashcroft lies about that, and instead tries to say, "oh, we would never do that", meanwhile all such data has been ordered accessible to the Homeland Security behemoth, by our loving gov't.

Dean has the right idea. Leave gun laws out of the feds hands, and start by not changing anything, since any changes under the Bush Era of Terrorism will result in destruction of rights, not more rights. Those states who attempt to overturn the 2nd amendment can fight with their own constituents.
