The increasing polarization of American politics suggests that the fight will increasingly be for the small sliver of voters that are truly undecided. And this is why the Demos are so, well, how can I say it, unwise. The problem from the right is that the Environmental movement has done a better job of brainwashing our kids through the school systems/media than the Fascist/Communist movements ever dreamed of doing. So when any bill is passed to stop the attempts by the greens to close down the country, the immediate scream is that the Right is destroying the environment. How many votes this sways among the middle is unknown. But it hurts.
