Oh, I've been through one on the Gulf. We were surfing on the huge waves thinking it was going to TX when instead it had made a sharp turn and was heading straight for us. The roof on the place we were staying kept raising up and we could see the outside, and the waves were breaking on the house during the worst of it. Ok...so you know. Andrew leveled Homestead...and until it hit, no one knew exactly where the local destruction would take place. It turned out to be Homestead...up the coast in FtLauderdale (less than 50 miles up) basically no damage. Al
