Well Iso,
as you know I dumped all my liquid traders but still hold a fair bit of explorers that can move on both news and POG although I'm lightening more. I still haven't felt that crescendo I expected and think we ought to see 390+ before I feel it's here..

All I've got is my Spidey sense ... :o)

This is when the public first begins to participate in significant numbers Yes we're all still waiting for the pizza delivery man to start giving us gold tips.... that's not here yet...

regards
Kastel

Iso,

What you say about the recognition phase makes sense. I've only been actively managing my assets since early 1998 and got my first trading lessons while gold was still in its bear market. Lately I've been thinking of modifying my parameters somewhat as the bearish volatility of accumulation has given way to the upside surprises of recognition and I sometimes find myself erring on the side of caution, but I won't complain at all about the results of the past 3 years.

That DROOY was incredibly underbought while being ideally positioned to benefit from a rising POG made it seem like a gift to me. The ideal contrarian choice, it was the gold stock that everybody loved to hate. How could they think that gold would go to the moon and not take DROOY? Now many are realizing that it is headed for $4.50 and is one of the few remaining value plays.
