In political terms, terrorism succeeds to the extent that we harm ourselves in response to the terror. Terrorism requires a violent reaction on the part of its intended targets in order to fuel an escalating cycle of action and reaction. Israel might now be in a "no-win" situation as the cycle of violence is so well established that nothing can change it. For the rest of the world, if you want to defeat terror, look at what has happened in Israel and try not to make the same mistakes.

This is true but in this war against islam terrorists it does not matter whose right it will only matter whose left.

No, it does matter very much who's right. This is a war of ideas. We have to fight in such a way as to empower the majority of Arab peoples, the ones who are now trying to send their children to the West for a better future, to fight the battle of the Moderns vs the Ancients* in the Arab lands. Only when they win, will we win.

Europe fought this battle of ideas in the 17th century. The question was, had the knowledge of the modern philosophers surpassed the knowledge of the ancient philosophers? The Moderns won.
