Of COURSE the Middle East remains unstable. No President has been able to fix squat there, one might fairly say. Is it less unstable? Yes? I really can't think so, not if I consider the large positive influence the end of Saddams regime provides, and the return of a half sane government in Afghanistan, and on and on.

You may believe the situation is still "fouled Up Bad All Right," and that the only difference is that we are paying through the nose. But you are going to have to accept the fact that Americans know that we have taken action, and they may even be PROUD we have the power to see now that things are CLEARLY resolving themselves toward down-sizing the enemy and his power. That is what is different.
