However, I do not accept that it is irrelevant to know her state of mind and the path that leads her to this act -- on the contrary, she is the central actor and we should know her. This is not correct. She is the weapon but she is not the "central actor." That is the person who sent her. Of course it's foolish to ignore the conditions and errors of both Israelis and Palestinians and I don't propose we should. I'm saying it's an error to mix up the instrument with its user's aims and reasoning.
