Maybe I missed your solution.

I'm not one who can figure out Arafat. Perhaps it's the power and limelight. His life is well documented and his vices are well-known. Ask your friends for some "cut and paste" on him.

I disagree with your statement that Israelis expelled the Palestinians. If you really do follow this issue, then you realize that there are compelling arguments to this issue on both sides and whichever epoch you wish to take as the time from which to start.

Notice I said - compelling arguments on both sides. This is a "moderate forum."

I think if one follows the poster around that you mention, one sees someone who would never give any positive response with respect to Irraeli actions or US actions. I said I prefer solutions to snide, but won't run when attacked.

As for the Saudi plan, it was a good outline, the devil is in the details. I would like to see it placed on the table, put the participants in a room, throw away the key so that they can't leave until they have a deal, ala Jimmy Carter and Camp David.

I think we agree on much. The problem is when one gets into the "blame" game. From my perspective, and I recognize the suffering on both sides, I just don't get those who support sending children in as suicide bombers and those who support the terrorists who target civilians with minimal military signficance. I don't get those who support at the suffering of 9/11 or who try to deflect from the obvious by extreme theories that say "black is white if you define as such."

Note - I also would never defend much of what the Stern gang apparently did, nor do I condone slavery, French colonialsm, etc. Again, let's get on with the solution and admit that enough time has been wasted blaming "the other side," however one looks and calls that side.
