Would that not make you a traitor to Monaco? Probably not. La Famille Princiere is actually half American - remember Grace Kelly? :-) I also find it amusing that a subject in a dictatorship criticizes a democracy. When was the last time you voted for the Prince? Considering that... (1) You don't have to be living in the perfect place to be able to criticize somewhere else (except in the most Biblical sense of "casting the first stone" etc) (2) I have been living here only a few years, am not a citizen (citizens actually vote... not for the prince of course, just the minor stuff) ... I am happy you find it amusing, but not that impressed :-) Your "Monaco" credentials have once again been called into question, BTW. In PM. English too good to have never been in the US. And it's American English. Not English English. With American slang. Yeah, that makes me laugh :-) Really, the implications are quite staggering - as in, "We can't even understand how a foreigner can be so fluent in our language, since we are too dumb/undereducated/uncultivated/etc to even accept the possibility that it is possible". I don't mean this for the entire American population, obviously, among which I can proudly count quite a few multilingual friends and acquaintances. Just the poor ignorant souls on SI whose frequent protests re my "American English" mark them out. As I said before, I went to an American school. Not in the US. And I speak English pretty well. The authors of those PMs will just have to get over it :-) Bob could probably confirm that you are not in fact in the US if you asked him Err, why would I want to do that? If they think I am in Ohio, let them continue thinking just that. By what legal authority? None that I know of exists in American law. I don't know by "what authority". I just know they did. I guess they felt the need to find qualified people fast was enough to warrant some exceptions. Another credibility problem? Credibility of what? He didn't accept it because, as a fresh graduate of a US Ivy League school, he felt he had more lucrative (not to mention, safer) options for employment.
