<< Since taxes are already at or near their maximum, relatively speaking, and SS is due to implode, we're looking at a severe financial crisis in the next 25 years.>>

I have coffee with a university econ prof who says the world will be in an extreme inflationary period with a massive depression due to fiat currency in less than 2 years.

The sad thing is whoever leader by random chance happens to be on watch at the time will most likely take the blame for the entire problem that was first started in the 1930s through poor foresight and planning on social security which was setup like a pyramid of cards really a chain letter. The fools that started social security never considered fluctuation in population...how nearsighted can you be when making such huge decisions. Thats why politicians need to be licensed like engineers to prevent malpractice for complete incompetence. Whats going to happen is they are going to do to get out of the social security problem is they are going to say that what you paid in was really insurance premiums and you don't get any money back unless you need it. That means that if you have a 401k or other retirement plan and it places you just above the poverty line then you get nothing back. I guarantee thats whats going to happen.
