OK, I understand that L1 visas make it easier for US companies to train and manage overseas workers, but I'm still not clear on what you want done about it, if anything. On the one hand, you say offshoring is a big problem that Bush should be addressing, but not saying HOW he should address it. On the other hand, you say you favor offshoring. You've obviously spent some time considering this issue, but I haven't the foggiest notion of what your position is on it other than that you think Bush is clueless. As for payroll taxes, are you suggesting we should kill social security and medicare or just fund them entirely out of general revenues? If the former, well, good luck. If the latter, you do realize that you'd have to raise income taxes to offset the loss of payroll tax revenues, don't you? What have you really accomplished? Is your real objective to make federal taxes even more progressive than they already are?
