Well said. Common sense seems to be a rarity -- "we're less safe than we were before" is a simple fact of life under Bush. The election of '04 would be over already if citizens realized the facts as you state them. The facts are that terrorism has exploded with this vicious group, its all they have to rely upon, its all they know, its all they do.

"What's relevant is what we have done since" You seem to think kissing up to our enemies so that people will "like" us is what we should have done, and I say that going after the terrorists is a good idea. The middle east will better off with a stable and prosperous democracy in their midst than they are with 100% of them being run by religious fanatics and oppressive dictators.
