Sorry. Your discussions with Jay has so much depth, it's easy for me (or someone else) to misunderstand or taken something out of perspective. Thanks for your posts, quite humbling for me.

The Elmat gauge if a country is going to make it or not.

I have a gauge to see if a country is going to make it or not: The taxis' drivers.

The worse the taxi drivers the lowest the chances the country is going to succeed.

My copper industry lobbyst friend (www.copperinfo.com) was here to meet the local copper lobbyst of Malaysia (www.copper.com.my) I've got a sign that China is on the right track.

He was in China visiting the Chinese copper industry lobbyst. He said the taxists don't speak a single word in English but everything works perfectly. They don't cheat. Board computer and all that helps out.

According to the Elmat gauge of countries that are going to make, China is unstoppable!

Have anyone taken a taxi in Lagos Nigeria? You'll know why Nigeria is not going to make.

Try Sweden. Taxi drivers even stop the taximeter if they didn't understand the address and go back to the right address you want to go.

In Singapore the taxi drivers complain how tought the police is on them but they serve you perfectly.

In Rio de Janeiro cops drive taxis to supplement their income. If you have problem with them, and chances are that in 80% of the cases you will, don't call the police! Call a bandido to help you!
