What can the UN do when appeals are not answered? The UN could try harder, MUCH harder!!! Perhaps if the UN took any kind of leadership role in this, their standing in the world would increase. (fat chance)

And what is Africa itself doing to stop the bloodshed on its continent?

Seems as if the so called leaders of many of the African countries have plenty of funds...but none seem to get to the people who need them. Idi Amin was a perfectly dreadful example of this.
