I'm not in 100% agreement with repubs, but the base issues are far closer to my way of thinking than the blame everyone, class warfare, big tax, big gov't, special interest demos. "The illegal immigrant driver's license is insane, and makes a mockery of law" I agree 1,000%. This is the kind of DEMO policy that makes me sick. Strictly a vote buying scheme with NO REGARD to the safety of U.S. CITIZENS (which is their primary duty). "Either that or armed camps of vigilantes down at the border to do what the organized crime cartel in Washington refuses to do, preferring to take bribes from Mexicans, and attempt to coddle a suitably frightened and pliable future voting block, of grateful criminals" Well said. "After all, it works at the higher levels, with other grateful criminals at Enron, Halliburton, Carlyle, et al" Many are going to jail. When you are extra cynical it is easy to say they are all crooks, but I still believe you need evidence to prove "beyond a reasonable doubt". This administration has done more than any other. "To lie about wanting security by NOT closing the borders is proof enough for any sane person to want these jokers out of the WH" There is nobody running who will close the borders unfortuntely. The demo alternatives would actually make it worse. "It will soon get to the point where its only the 2nd Amendment that protects us" Unfortunately this may be true. Another reason I REALLY don't trust dems. They want to take it away, and there are some (9th District Fed Court) that say we have no right to bear arms. And your afraid of Bush. Weird. "not any kind of decency, morality, or lawfulness of the central gov't and officials" Not going to say they are all saints, but the repubs have a heck of a lot more of this than the demos imo. I personally think that Bush has a lot of these qualities. Good discussion. I'm glad you spelled out some of your thoughts.
