She just does not get it<g>. The reason #1 is that she is a female; and the reason #2 is her major. If she had majored finance, or some other hard science, that would put her in a much better position. MPA is BS degree<g>. I have never heard of it before I read this article<g>.

As much as I hate to say this, in China, female do have a much tougher time to find a job, and that is exactly why I don't think I can get a decent job if I go back now.

Having said that, she does have a point in thinking that she should have stayed in China after graduation instead of coming here. Although it seems a little too late now<g>

It is true that a great majority of Taiwanese who went to Mainland and set up companies there are very very mean. I would never work for them under any circumstances!

<<why don't I just go back to China>> is a very common expression in the US. It is often stated when someone is in anger and even if one doesn't oppose the US. There was such anger when many Vietnamese started arriving here.
There were many small town cafes that did not allow and refused Asian looking people from their establishments. I have heard it stated to the Blacks as well, asking why they don't just go back to Africa. It's part of the hidden racial prejudice in the US. However, I was told that it's a bit worse in England where the economy has never been as strong as in the US.

Such is the mentality of the homey or local type Americans, where most don't realize and have forgotten that their ancestors came from somewhere else. It could be very prophetic because in another 25-30 years, many of the world's brains may not even bother coming to US.

I myself have been asked "why don't you go back to Vietam?", and I could only laugh with instant gratification that I am in a society full of morons. I am not Vietnamese but those morons thought anyone with Asian semblance must be Vietnamese. They have forgotten or never knew that several have been whipped trying to mess around in Vietnam. The majority of Americans cannot tell the difference between Asians, and "they the Asian looking" would all become Vietnamese or Korean or whatever they feel animosity at the time.

Just wait for a real economic recession in the US. The American non-whites will feel the heat of animosity. Without any doubt they will say to the American Indians why don't they go back to the reservations.

Still, what the pocketbooks can buy speak much louder than anything else. So China can keep on producing the inexpensive goods that Americans will wear and buy. Let things take its course. US market and American consumers are still China's best friends. So let China continue be the producer and the coolie producer for the world. So many successful businesses started from shoestrings, although many has failed as well. China is one of those that's destined to succeed.
