Bill,
I watched the UN delegates sit on their hands today as bush presented a reasonable, lets deal with iraq message. I listen to guys i respect like biden trash the presidents speech. Then i read the kennedy craps. Then i see the new gallup poll showing bush behind Clark. What a f*****g joke. The american people apparently lack the patience and perseverence to win WW3. They are not willing to have setbacks. We are now frontrunners. The rest of the world does so why i am surprised. And the media presents only one side of the story in large part based on ideological preference. (By the way for fair reporting watch Bob Arnot on MSNBC.) So how do we win? Bush needs to fess up about the mistakes in the fog of war. There isn't any war that doesnt have these moments. Secondly things are not going badly. They are just difficult. Most iraqis view us as liberators but cant say it because our staying power is in question and apparently they are sensible to question it, given the bush collapse in the polls. Good news is that Reagan was behind mondale early on. I will think about that and try to get a good nights sleep. Whats at stake is our survival and the american people must be made to realize this or we will be waving the white flag the next time. Mike@emoting.com
