Germany has not spent the last 40 years stabbing us in the back. Oh please. How exactly did France stab you in the back? And how exactly has Germany been an exceptionally good ally? Russia has a new gov't that hasn't established its record yet What? The point comes down to this - You do not accept the possibility that allies can actually disagree when their "rights" and their own interests differ from those of the US. In your mind, the role of an "ally" does not seem all that different from that of a "vassal" - shut up and follow. Nor "everyone else", mostly Oh really? Just which countries have supported the US? Don't present that funny list of microcountries some of whose name nobody has ever heard of, and some of the rest don't even have armies. Not to mention some others, like Turkey who flat out REFUSED to support the invasion of Iraq despite the USD30bn Bush dangled under their noses, but somehow made it to the list. Oh and was it Colombia who actually ASKED to be removed from that list, saying they were "unaware" they were supporting any such thing? Were it not for that nation, do you think you would be speaking German or Russian now? If America never existed, I would still be speaking my native tongue and the next three that I learned while in my teens. I would probably not have gone to American schools so the only language I wouldn't be speaking would probably be English. And what a loss that would have been :-) Oh and Laz, I must have told you at least 20 times that I am not French. If you have really forgotten that again, I will have to doubt your mental prowess :-) P.S.: If the French did not help you guys out during your war for independence from the British, do you think you would be a subject to Her Majesty and speaking British English now? :-)
