We're still allowed to vote, as if the vote matters anymore. People today vote for an illusion offered them on the controlled media

It's big business, isn't it? The money you have to spend to be a candidate, then the shaping of an image based on numerous targeted polls, glossing up of speeches, etc.

And now electronic voting has opened the door to massive voter fraud.

Wow. That's not very reassuring, is it? Got 1984? :-)

I have a question for you re US elections - I always wondered about this and asked it a couple of times but never really got a satisfactory answer: Why do you guys have only TWO parties to choose from, ESPECIALLY since they are BOTH pretty much the same?

I mean, one look at European elections would tell that the two US parties are in fact in pretty much the same area of the possible political spectrum. Both parties are pretty much on the right (no socialists, no social democrats, and definitely no communists I can see), no greens or other fringe interests. Why? And, more importantly, how? Doesn't anybody feel it is a bit restrictive to liberties?

An agent of the KGB who went to the KGB School for the America's? <g>

Russian is unfortunately not one of my languages. I love the sound of it, though. One day, perhaps, I might find the time to study it :-) Now, I have another language to learn. I hear it is one of the hardest languages on this planet. It certainly sounds like it. Sigh.

BTW what is a former KGB Director doing as a hired consultant for the newly hatched Dept of Homeland Security?

Who are you talking about? That sounds like a fun story if you wouldn't mind telling about it...
