R&R... I absolutely love this program. msnbc.com The comments by Muller, president V V A, are nuts. Every R&R returning flight I have been on was dead silent too, but I knew why. Everybody was sound asleep after 7 days and nights of continuous partying. I have often said that R&R was only 7 days because if it was 8 days, I would have died from lack of rest. R&R is a wonderful morale booster for troops and families and a well-deserved break after working 24/7 for six months. Nowadays, when I get together with vets, we almost never tell war stories. one of our favorite topics is R&R. The troops will be shocked that American civilians don't talk non-stop about the war. They will be stunned by anyone not fully supporting their efforts. More importantly, we will now have unfettered access to the real story as told by the Grunts who are living it. uw
