Funny how you start off with claiming you "respectfully disagree", then start with the typical BS rhetoric that paints folks like me & other thread regulars here in such a negative light...... "That's still allowed isn't it? Or is someone going to tell me that's unpatriotic?" This thread has no such history of using such lowbrow tactics & neither do I. Those comments do however, give insight into your emotional attachment to a political philosophy (that typically uses these underhanded tactics from the start - name calling & negative labels without any factual basis while pretending to be 'respectful') & your likely inflexible political stance. IMO, your "feelings" are about as misplaced as the beliefs you stated. All you did was reinforce how emotionally you are attached to a political party & philosophy that uses the same rhetoric you "feel", regardless of the facts & events that have unfolded since 9/11. All you did was espouse the fear & loathing from the liberal left that do not in any way match reality. I'm not going to debate these vast differences in opinion with you, as I've learned that no amount of facts, reality, logic or reason will bring about any agreement between us when one holds such inflexible, emotional POV's. BTW, I'm not emotionally attached to any political philosophy or party. To me it's all about what actually transpires as time & events unfold, not what some politician or biased media outlet tells me what to think. I will state that the liberal left has completely turned me off with their deplorable tactics of blatant lies & deceit, their politics of personal destruction & their desire to gain popularity with voters by any means necessary - even if it brings real harm to America. The ultra-conservative right wing may not be looking out for my best interests, and even though I may not agree with them, at least they are not willing to stoop to such despicable tactics to achieve their goals. To me, the more one has to grossly exaggerate, deceive, misrepresent & lie to push their POV, the less I'm inclined to listen to what they have to say, let alone buy into their philosophy.
