I do respect you opinions.
I think you express yourself cogently and clearly.
I like Ian Anderson (& his fish).

I suspect we are both guilty of tainting the information we perceive with the "insight" we bring to it.

I was quite displeased to see a dissident point of view criticized as being unpatriotic. I don't care what side uses that tactic. I find it offensive. I think there is nothing more American than the expression of contrary points of view.

I will limit myself (for now) to what I think are the big issues.

1. I do not like seeing the United States act as the world's policeman. I don't think it is our responsibility.

2. I do not like seeing the United States act unilaterally. I think it is a bad tactic and undermines potentially good results.

Thank you for responding. I find it stimulating.
